We all have a sense of entitlement. Even those who feel that others are entitled, they themselves are entitled. This is apparent when everyone has at least once in their life, if not once a week or even once a day felt that "life isn't fair". We seldom ask ourselves, "do I really deserve this?" We often feel that "I don't deserve this" in regards to something bad happening to us. But have we actually done anything or enough to earn what we think we deserve? This is no more true than when it comes to our faith. I go to church. I don't steal from the store. I am nice to people. Why don't I get everything that I want? Maybe we need to be faithful with more than what is convenient.
Lord, thank you for giving me more than I deserve and help me to demonstrate that gratitude with my acts of faith.
