If you need God, He is here for you now. If you need Him later, He will be there too. Lord, thank You that You are always with me, no matter when I need you.

We all need advice. We all need someone to listen to our pain, but more importantly someone to tell us when we need to do something. We all need to be more available to listen to the Wonderful Counselor. The advice given may not be what we want, but it will certainly be what we need. Lord, help me seek Your wisdom and not be resistant to it. "Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness! Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp! Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals." Psalm 150:2-5
Unequaled Greatness!!! (insert ram's horn blast here) “The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.” John 1:9
Amen! “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.” Ephesians 1:7-8
Amen! “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
My garage is not fool of many tools. I have the basics: hammer, screwdrivers, lawnmower, brooms, and a couple old paintbrushes. I fail in the area of tools to fix and build. I am ill-equipped. Thankfully, my oldest brother has every tool imaginable and is a phone call and ten minutes away. When it comes to life, from lessons learned through experiences, I feel much more equipped but I don't have all of the "tools" needed. However, I do know the one who created the world so that that is helpful. Want His number? Lord, thank You that when I feel "I can't" ... "You CAN"! “And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.” -- Ephesians 1:13
Unfortunately, we often have a difficult time accepting the solution that will actually save us. Lord, help me to be less stubborn. "Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings,* favored woman! The Lord is with you!” Luke 1:28
We often suffer unintended consequences. Life is messy. However, if we are observant and have a heart of gratitude, we also experience countless unintended blessings, as well. Unexpected pregnancy prior to marriage is often not the best news. Result ... Jesus! Lord, help me to be willing to see the blessings amongst my messy life. |
