Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. Malachi 3:10

FACT: You can't out-give God! If you don't believe me, then believe Him. If you don't believe Him, then test Him. He has given you permission to be wrong.

Lord, thank you that you are more generous than I am selfish.

I Am Offended?!

If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 1 Peter 4:14

Fact: Today, more people are offended too easily (it is cool and trendy to be offended) but rarely are people offended for the right reason. The only thing that should offend us is when God is not held up to the heights that He should be.

Lord, forgive society for being offended for selfish reasons and not being offended enough by how poorly You are treated.

We don't remember much. We tend to have short term memories, not only regarding facts but events. We tend to focus on the negative and forget the good things that have happened in our lives. We mostly remember the more recent events, especially when they are negative, and we forget about the past, particularly when they are positive.

Lord, help me to remember better and not have a selective memory but an accurate memory of all that You have provided for me.

Lord, thank you for being willing and overly qualified to vouch for me before God.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, Hebrews 10:19-20

We have confidence in ourselves when things are believed to be easy for us to accomplish. We have confidence in ourselves when past successful experiences leads us to believe we can succeed in similar future behaviors. We have confidence in ourselves when we trust our own abilities or the abilities of those around us. We should always have confidence in Christ, because God has never given us a reason to lack confidence in anything He promises.

Lord, thank you for the gift of confidence through Christ.
