Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, Hebrews 10:19-20
We have confidence in ourselves when things are believed to be easy for us to accomplish. We have confidence in ourselves when past successful experiences leads us to believe we can succeed in similar future behaviors. We have confidence in ourselves when we trust our own abilities or the abilities of those around us. We should always have confidence in Christ, because God has never given us a reason to lack confidence in anything He promises.
Lord, thank you for the gift of confidence through Christ.
