Taking a break. It makes sense in theory but often times it is hard to execute. Unfortunately, most people live on the extremes. They are either a person that is on a perpetual vacation and their effort is shy of their capacity or they work constantly and rarely find time to take a break. Balance is difficult to achieve. However, balance is what God calls us to find in our lives in regards to working hard enough to maximize the gifts He has given us but also finding time to rest IN HIM. A break is only a break if work exists. A break can't exist if you never work. God calls us to take breaks from work but never a break from Him.
Lord, thank you for the energy and the ability to work hard and help me to value the importance of breaks from work to focus even more on You.
