“Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize." 1 Corinthians 9:24
Winning doesn't matter ... alone! What matters is the "... in such a way ..." portion of the winning equation. Winning the lottery may feel good but besides the money that people typically squander away, "the win" means nothing. The manner in which we go about pursuing our full potential is what matters in our own life and it is what matters to God. When we don't care about winning, the only thing we learn is how not to care and not caring is equivalent to lacking hope and hopelessness is the worst thing we can have.
Lord, help me to desire to win so that I am motivated to do all that it takes to win and through that process, I will learn and grow and learn more about myself and also will require to trust and learn about You more.
