"I Love You". Here is the problem with this statement ... Love is a selfless act. Love is about others. Love is patient (toward others) and it is kind (toward others) and it does not have envy (toward others) and it doesn't boast (about myself) and it isn't proud (of myself). Love should not be about me. Love should be about others. Yet we begin the statement with "I". Once again proving that we can't even make the most selfless act about someone other than ourselves.
Lord, help me to make love about others and not about me.
