We start out life dependent on others to take care of us. We then find independence and start taking care of ourselves. At some point in life, most people find themselves in the position of being required to take care of someone or many "someones." All of us, at some point, need to make a conscious decision as to whether or not taking care of others is a voluntary action or we will continue to only take care of others when it is our "job".
Lord, help me to realize that life is a team sport and I am dependent on others and I need to be intentional about being supportive and helping others, and not just those I "have to".
