Temptation is not a sin. Jesus was tempted many times and never sinned. Temptation often leads to sin because we often find ourselves in a sinful situation and feel guilty and therefore feel that there is no turning back. The truth is that temptation is more like a flashing "yellow" light. You can either make the right decision and turn away from sin (detour) or fall into the temptation and allow the sin to run it's course (green light).
Lord, give me the strength to see temptation as a sign to detour from sin.
