Unfortunately, we see those who are not like us as often being weird or strange. Even more unfortunate, those terms, which are meant to be neutral, seem to have a negative connotation. We typically don't take pride in being called weird and equally often, we don't use the word strange as a complement. We are all different. Thankfully we are all different. The world would be a boring and extremely competitive place if we were all the same. Thankfully people want to cook food for me when I am away from home or recycle when I throw things away or save water when I want to take a long shower or fix my computer or create beautiful things or teach little kids. I don't want to do any of those things.
Lord, thank You for all the different people in the world and that You love us all.
