If I ever decided to climb Mt. Everest, I would definitely invest in a good pair of climbing boots and a really thick jacket. However, more important than the fancy gear to protect me from the cold, I would invest in a Sherpa to protect my life from all of the potential dangers that will arise during the climb. Unfortunately, most of us invest our time and efforts into things that may provide comfort in our lives, but we fail to invest in God, who can save our lives.
Lord, thank you for being my guide and also desiring to be my guide at no cost besides my own humility.
