“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. Sand is soft and warm and often on a beach with a beautiful view. Rock is hard and often unseen and unnoticed and vastly underappreciated.
Lord, help me to remember that when it "feels" good, it often isn't necessarily good, and when it seems hard, it is most likely valuable and meaningful.
