"Safety First!" Two words that are embedded in my brain. My parent's instruction wasn't "Have fun first" or "Do what ever feels good first" but "Safety comes before everything else". God is our refuge. God provides everything we need, including safety. And when we are safe, we are in a position to help ourselves and help others. "Parents, please put the oxygen mask on yourself before placing one on your child". When we feel safe and when we are safe, we are able to do more for ourselves and for others.
Lord, thank you for being my refuge and my source of safety and help me to seek You first when I am in trouble.
