One of the most inappropriate referenced verses ever. We love to use this verse to give justification for us doing anything we want because "God will strengthen us". This simply shows our human nature and innate selfishness. The cause and effect in this verse is not "I first determine what I want to do and then God will strengthen me". The correct order is "God will strengthen me so that I can do what He wants me to do".
Lord, help me to know what You want and thank you for not leaving me to my own strength to accomplish it.
