Most older men tend to wear the same things every day. Same shirt. Same pants. Probably haven't bought anything new in years. And if they have a spouse or children who buy them new clothes, they probably don't wear them. WHY? Because old men don't care how they look and they don't care what you think about how they look. People who have lived a long time have figured out that worrying about what they wear, or anything for that matter, will not serve any good purpose. When we are young, we worry about the pimple on our nose because we think people care about the pimple on our nose. As we get older, we don't care about the pimple on our nose, because we are thankful we have a nose and a face and air in our lungs and healthy kids and purpose in life.
Lord, help us to pray and help us to be thankful for what we have and avoid worrying about what we don't.
