“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
This verse makes a very obvious point but unfortunately, most of us miss it. We shouldn't read this verse as "do everything THAT YOU WANT TO DO for God's glory". We should read it as "do everything for God's glory BECAUSE HIS GLORY MATTERS MORE THAN WHAT YOU WANT TO SELFISHLY DO". We shouldn't be turning our own desires into "God's glory". We should should find out what God finds to be glorious and to those things.
Lord, help me to emphasize you more and me less.
