In a world that is so divisive, we often feel that "being nice" to others is a huge accomplishment. Unfortunately, even though the bar is pretty low in the world, God's bar remains uncomfortably high. We are to be more than merely nice to others. We are called to serve and serve to the point where it requires sacrifice. Sacrifice of time or money or comfort or even of pride.
Lord, help me to serve the way You desire.
