“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
Church attendance is not a requirement for salvation. You don't need to go to church to accept Jesus as your Savior. However, going to church is a simple activity that helps us grow in our faith. Meeting with others and actually talking about Jesus also works. Sometimes we think "being with Christians" is enough for us or for them to grow, just as we think "going to church" is enough. We need to encourage others in their faith and that requires actually talking about our faith.
Lord, help me to be a person who intentionally encourages others in their faith and not simply someone who hopes my presence is enough.
