God has set a standard. It is a high standard. It is the highest standard and an unachievable standard. It is so high for a reason. An unachievable standard helps us to realize that no matter how "good" we may think we are, we are only "good" in comparison to the "bad" people around us. The standard is so high so we realize that we NEED God and His grace and we can't earn it on our own.
Lord, thank you for grace and for Your Son who saves me from my constant "badness".
