"Don't boast about tomorrow,
for you don't know what a day might bring.
Let another praise you, and not your own mouth-
a stranger, and not your own lips." Proverbs 27:1-2
What is it about our past and our future that seems to be more important or valuable to us than our present? We can't do anything about our past and although we can influence our future, we can only influence it by taking care of what we are doing now. God is extremely wise. If He values the present and sees the future as only a result of our current actions, then we need to see it that way too.
Lord, help me to live in the now and invest in others and in You.
