God didn't show up back in the day, set everything in motion, leave us the Bible as an account of what happened and then retire to an adult community in Tempe. God is very active and will not allow us to completely screw ourselves or this world up. His desire is that we act like mature individuals and take care of business but if we fail, He will step in and shake things up.
Lord, help me to take care of my responsibilities in regards to me and You and others so that You don't need to intervene when You shouldn't have to.
