Following Instructions!

"For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;" 1 Corinthians 1:26-27

​You open up the box and dump out all of the parts.  The last item to fall from the box is the plastic bag with all of the hardware and that little wrench that they provide to assemble your new (insert name of item here).  In the plastic bag, along with the hardware, are some instructions.  What do you do first?  Read the instructions or throw them away and just look at the picture on the box and go for it?  Those who look at the picture and fail to read the instructions are those who tend to go through life by looking around themselves for what is "right" and "proper' and "how life should be".   They often find themselves lost and wasting time, energy and sometimes give up.  Those who pick up the instructions and follow them are more likely to pick up their Bible and see how God encourages us to live life.

Lord, help me to read the instructions You have provided so I don't end up building a coat rack when I was supposed to build a entertainment center.
