Three solutions to being lost: (1) Stay lost forever. (2) Find a way out ourselves. (3) Someone finds us. Option one isn't ideal. Being lost is seldom fun. Waiting for someone to find us takes less effort but it is a gamble. Finding a way out ourselves takes effort and a conscious decision and often leads to the most success. Most Christians choose option "3" because it seems the least selfish and most "spiritual", however, God is always with us and we are truly never lost. He doesn't need to find us. We need to actually find Him.
