Let's be honest, we prefer certain people over others. It doesn't mean that we don't like the other people, it merely means that of all of the people we love, we are drawn to certain people just a little more. It doesn't make us bad people. It makes us human. We tend to appreciate those individuals in our lives who appreciate us or we tend to be drawn to those who meet our needs or align with how we think. Is it so wrong to think that God would also prefer to spend time with those people and show favor (not favoritism) to those who choose to follow Him more fervently?
Lord, I am a hypocrite to think that I can have favorites in my life and not think that You too would prefer to have those around You who are attempting to be more in a relationship with You.
