If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
When I was growing up, I heard a similar statement from a lot of people, "I don't talk about God or go to church. I don't need to. My faith is personal". At some level, it made sense. Unfortunately, it was an incorrect worldview. Our faith is a relationship. Our relationship with God and His relationship with us. But it is also about sharing that relationship with others who we have a relationship with. We need to believe. But we also need to declare and share.
Lord, please give us the boldness to have a relationship with you and to also share it with others.
