Humans are interesting creatures. For one, humans are the only animals that take 18 years to become mature enough to take care of themselves. Most other animals only take a few days, tops. In addition, humans can swing from one extreme to the next. In one moment, we are depressed and lack confidence and think we don't matter much and the next day, we look down upon others with criticism and judgement and see ourselves as being "better". Neither extremes are accurate or healthy.
Lord, help me to find my worth in You so that I may avoid depression and help me to find my worth in You so I don't claim to be better than I am.
