“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
You would think that resting would be the easiest "activity" in the world to do. However, true rest requires a couple things. First of all, to need rest, we must work first. Laziness is not rest. Rest is a reward/requirement/result of working hard. Secondly, we must seek rest. We must be intentional about setting aside time to be able to rest. More specifically, for spiritual and emotional rest, we must seek God who can truly provide the rest we want and need.
Lord, please give me rest but more specifically, help me to remember to come to You when I need rest.
