The world is full of people and we are not always provided the opportunity to choose the people we must spend time with. Coworkers, neighbors, in-laws, friends of friends, classmates, teammates, parents of our friends or of our kids friends. Life places us in the company of others, and not by our choosing and often times, these people are difficult to be around. That is why it is essential that when we are able to choose our friends, we must choose wisely and choose wise ones. Intentionally placing negative and unsupportive people in our life is dumb. There are a few thousand people (or more) on the planet so don't settle on dumb ones.
Lord, help me to realize that I am called to love everyone but I am not required to hang out with everyone.
