When you see the word "train", do you think "workout" or "locomotive"? Why does this verb and noun share the same word? They may not be as different as they may appear to be. A train is a series of cars that link together and follow a single set of tracks as they head to a specific destination. When we train our bodies, we link together a series of workouts that follow a specific philosophy as they lead us to accomplish a specific goal. When we train to be godly, we need to string together a series of days that include activities that honor God as we pursue to be more like Christ.
Lord, help me to link my spiritual workouts together so that I may achieve my spiritual goals.
