When we go through life thinking that everyone is playing checkers, while in fact they are playing chess, we will be left frustrated and defeated. When we go through life thinking that WE are all that matters and WE are simply navigating a world that we can see and feel, then we will be left frustrated and defeated. Success requires that we know the "game" that is being played, the "rules" that govern the game, our "opponents" and possibly, most importantly, who is on our "team".
Lord, thank You for not hiding the rules of play and please help me to see the importance of knowing them.
