Our youth was littered with the warning "be careful!". Parents, grandparents, teachers, and anyone who we found ourselves around that was over the age of ... us. Why is it that we constantly need to be warned? The reason is that we fail to stop and think before we act/speak. Most of our troubles in life are a result of our impatience and lack of self-control. Our problems are mostly self-inflected due to our failure to think before we act or to think long enough before we act/speak.
Lord, help me to have more patience and actually execute that patience.
