A hero is often described as the person who runs toward danger when everyone else is running away from it. We all would love to be viewed as a hero. Maybe there is a little part inside of us that believes that we are a hero and that is the part that leads us to believe that we can save ourselves from anything. The truth is that we can never save ourselves from the sin that separates us from God. We may attempt to be as 'good' as we can be but it will never be good enough. Christ is the only sufficient and qualified hero to save us from our own danger.
Lord, thank you for the Saving Grace that only you can provide.
