“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
Isn't salvation for our sins enough? It seems like a pretty big deal. We receive eternity with God despite the sins we commit because Christ died on the cross. A fairly uneven deal in our favor. We get eternity and we really don't give up much. However, we tend to still question God and ask "why has xxx happened to me. Life isn't fair." God would agree. Life indeed isn't fair. He gave up His son for us and all we do is complain and want more.
Lord, please help me to realize that You and Your Son are enough.
