- A bad practice or bad competition (or bad test or bad paper) DOES NOT mean you are a bad athlete (or bad student). Bad days happen. We need to learn from them and then move on.
- A great practice or great competition (or great test or paper) DOES mean you have the potential to be a great athlete (or student). Those great experiences must fuel us and give us confidence that we can reach for bigger and better goals.
- A great practice or competition (or test/paper) and/or bad practice or competition (test/paper) mean nothing in regards to you as a human being. Your identity should be linked to more important and much more value things than any athletic or academic misfortune or achievement. We are all more valuable than our accomplishments in any aspect of life.
