I used to dislike school until I worked a summer job that paid below minimum wage. I used to hate running until I found out I was better at track than any other sport I tried. Kids annoyed me until I had my own. “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Wayne Dyer

Standing at the fork in the road with a choice of which way to go. You can choose to allow the circumstances around you to dictate your happiness or you can choose to allow yourself to have the attitude of joy despite your circumstances. Choose gratitude for what you have and not sadness for what you may think you deserved. “I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” Stephen R. Covey
Imagine your head being a mansion. A huge and beautiful home with lots of space. Imagine yourself walking around in that house alone. It may be fun for a while but it gets boring. So you invite over a few really good friends and you hang out and talk, have a great meal and play some fun games. You have an amazing and positive time. The word gets out about all the good times and before you know it, hundreds of inconsiderate strangers show up and drive motorcycles up and down your hallways and start breaking things and pee in your pool. How do you get all of those party crashers who are destructing your stuff out of your house? It isn't easy. It takes time and effort. That is why it is important to lock your doors and be selective of who you let in to your house. Our brains are the same. We are bored when left alone and often make poor choices. We need good friends to speak truth and help keep us balanced. But we need to limit all the "strangers" in our head who simply cause a ruckus and damage us. “Make sure your worst enemy doesn’t live between your own two ears.” Laird Hamilton
Two weeks into the New Year and 99% of all New Year resolutions are no longer in existence. Unfortunately, a worse fact is that most people will wait another 50 weeks until trying again. Today is as good as any day to begin working toward your full potential. “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” George Eliot
No quick and easy way to reach any goal worth setting and achieving. “The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs, one step at a time.” Joe Girard
In order to be a "know it all", you have to be willing to ask questions and seek more knowledge. If you act like a "know it all", you will always know less. “Take the attitude of a student, never be too big to ask questions, never know too much to learn something new.” Augustine Og Mandino
Would you rather be a passenger or in the driver's seat? “Either you run the day or the day runs you.” Jim Rohn
Our human nature leans toward comfort. Our initial reaction is not pain or discomfort. We seek out what makes us feel good. Hard work doesn't necessarily feel good, unless we realize that the results of hard work typically allow us to move closer to our goals and full potential. Hard work leads to more comfort. "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Thomas Edison
Luck refers to outcomes, either good or bad, brought about by chance. We have all experienced both good and bad luck in life. However, living life by a flip of a coin seems idiotic. Yet, it is amazing how often people live their life that way. No goals. No plans. No intentionality. We will never know the ultimate outcome but if we don't plan or have goals to help us plan and guide us, we are simply basing our life on luck. “Goal setting is the secret to a compelling future.” Tony Robbins
Work is not some place you go and it isn't simply an intangible concept. Work is something that you feel in your bones and see others see on your face. When work is done, results are obvious. Work is a verb ... "be engaged in physical or mental activity in order to achieve a result; do work" Do Work!!! “I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.” Estée Lauder
