See Good!

If you are sad or upset or down or depressed, it is often because you don’t like your current situation.  But do we only see the bad or do we look for the good in our current situation?  If we only look for bad, we will see bad.  If we choose to look for good, we will see good.
"What we see depends mainly on what we look for."  John Lubbock

"Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize." 1 Corinthians 9:24  If you compete to win, you give yourself a chance to win and to also be the best you can be.  If you live your life to 'win', you give yourself a chance to 'win' and to also be the best you can be.  If you compete/live to get second or third of fourth, you most likely will get fifth or sixth or thirtieth because what makes you think striving for anything but your best will get you anything worth achieving?  "I don't do things HALF-HEARTEDLY. I know that if I do, then I can expect HALF-HEARTED results."  Michael Jordan

Lifting "Waits"!

We lift weights to get stronger.  We undergo burdens in our life for the same reason.  The challenges in life will make us stronger and more capable of overcoming greater burdens later one.  After lifting weights, we feel the "pump" and it helps us to believe we did something productive.  When we "lift the weight of burden on our lives", the benefit is not as easily apparent.  Often times, we must wait and wait and wait and wait some more, and then some more ... and then possibly a lot more, until we finally see the growth.  "Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't."  Rikki Waters
