Squirrel!

Humans are easily distracted.  Distraction can be nice sometimes.  However, distractions are ... distracting.  When we focus too much on the negative, we prevent ourselves from seeing the positive.  And the more we focus on the negative, the harder it is to pull our eyes (and mind) away from the negative to see anything positive at all.  It is our choice to whether we choose to look for the positive instead of dwelling on the negative.  ​“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” Helen Keller
