So is the only alternative to wait for someone to come along and say "You can do it. I believe in you"? No. You may end up waiting a long time or forever. Self-Motivation. Self-Confidence. These are not only the solution to the problem of not being supported, but it is these three skills that should be the primary force to our drive to achieve our goals, and not simply the last resort when others fail to meet your needs.
