It is both astonishing and sad the amount of time and energy and effort that humans spend trying to please others. If we use any logic or rational thought and examine our past, we see that our efforts to please everyone are a complete failure. We will never please anyone to the level we expect or to the level that they require. This repeated failure causes people countless hours and days and years and lifetimes to be wasted while trying to solve the unsolvable to please everyone. Our purpose in life should not be to be "liked" or even "loved" by everyone we encounter. Our purpose should also not be to "be right". Our purpose should be to do right.
