Burn The Ships!

In 1519, the explorer Cortes arrived to the New World with 600 men and after getting all of the crew and supplies on the beach, he sent back a couple guys to burn the ships.  This sent a clear message to his men: There is no turning back.  When the only option is moving forward, quitting is not an option. "People of mediocre ability sometimes achieve outstanding success because they don't know when to quit.
