Stress is "any demand placed on your mind or body". We stress our muscles to get stronger. We stress our heart and lungs by running to get more fit. We stress our minds to get smarter. We stress our brains so that we learn to become more mentally tough and resilient. If you want an easy life then you want to undergo a ton of stress so that you will be able to handle the hard stuff in life, better. You won't ever avoid the hard stuff, so you may as well prepare for it.
