I learned many things working in the warehouse during the summer. When either summer workers were getting close to the end of the summer or when "lifers" were getting close to retirement, the "short timer" mentality kicked in. In High School or College, it is the same as "Senioritis". You see the finish line so the motivation is waning. Sports are and should be different! When we see the finish line, we should and must lean in and finish well, no matter what our circumstances may be. Whether we reach our original goals or not, how we finish will teach us more about who we are than the actual result will provide. That's one thing you learn in sports. You don't give up; you fight to the finish. Louis Zamperini
