No Place For Passivity!

In all my years of being an athlete, being around athletics and being a coach for the majority of my life, I have never heard a coach or anyone who knows athletics state, "Look at that passive athlete, they are so great".  Passivity has no place in a successful athlete.  Assertiveness, the ability to be intense and confident and lean into things that are tough is what separates those who control their destiny and those who succumb to the pressures and challenges of competition.  If you truly want to reach your goals, don't be so "damn passive."   “The best gifts are never given, but claimed.”  ― Warren Ellis
