It is said that "If no one walks out agree during a church sermon, then the pastor isn't preaching the truth". That may be a little heavy handed but maybe not. The idea makes sense. If you have a large group of people in a room and everyone is satisfied and agrees with what is being said, you may be either speaking about topics of little consequence or you may be sharing what the audience wants to hear and not what they need to hear. The Gospel is Good News but it isn't always favorable news to many. If our intent is for people to agree with what we say, it is hard to fully share the Good News.
