When I first started to teach passing of a basketball with my girls, I would have to constantly instruct them to "throw it hard". They would do what is typical, lightly toss the ball. In sports, that doesn't work. That is how you turnover the ball. I originally thought of "cast" as being similar to "toss" or even "lob". But cast refers to "throwing forcefully". That has been my problem, I often "lob" or "toss" or "half-heatedly throw" my burdens, when I need to chuck those suckers over a mountain as if I never wanted to see them again.
Lord, help me to be more forceful in giving my burdens over to You.
