I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:13-14
"There are no stupid questions". This is a statement made by someone who has not been asked very many questions in their life. There are a lot of stupid questions. For example, there are few things more annoying than when someone asks a question that could have been answered if they had only listened or paid attention or been observant. God must feel that same frustration toward us when we ask for selfish things and then don't feel our prayer has been answered and then we get upset with Him.
Lord, help me to listen better and know better what to ask for that is in line with Your will.
