It is interesting that we use the term "passing away" when someone dies. It shows our perspective on life. We often view life on earth as all that there is or the most important thing. However, God views us as "ambassadors". An ambassador has citizenship in one country and then goes to another country, for a period of time, to represent their country of citizenship. We are meant to be ambassadors for Christ on this earth for this period of time and then we don't "pass away" but "move back home".
Lord, help me to see my life on earth as passing through and help me to make the most out of my short time here.
