You can't blame us. We only know what we know. We love to compare and to use worldly experiences to attempt to define God. Loyalty is one of the worst examples. God is loyal to the end. He will be with us always. We attempt to understand this relationship by comparing it to our worldly relationships. Loyal like our spouse. Loyal like our best friend. Loyal like our dog. The problem is that no matter how committed each of these relationships may appear, they are far from flawless and perfect. God's loyalty and commitment to us is flawless and perfect.
Lord, thank you for being You and not like me or us.
