The words in the Bible were written a few thousand years ago. Which means that the issues written about way back then have always existed and are not new. Just like today, people back then worried about whether their hard work, commitment, sacrifice, faith, trust, and resilience would pay off. The luxury that we have now is a few thousand years of examples and proof that it does. And for those who have been on the planet longer than others, we have a lifetime of personal examples and proof that it does.
Lord, help me to have faith in what You say but also the wisdom to look around and see the proof in my life and in the life of those around me.
